Performance Combo Classes
Ages 2 Years through 3rd grade
Offered once a week; the student is placed by their
age/grade as of August 31st
Parent & Me (2 Year)
In this class children can discover the excitement of dance as well as share a special time between parent and child. This will give an opportunity for children to sing, play games, stretch, increase self-confidence and body awareness while being introduced to basic dance concepts with security of a parent. Parents begin each new session in the class with their children, but are encouraged to view the class from outside the room as their children become more independent.
Class length: 30 minutes once a week
Showcase & Recital Dance: Ballet/Creative Movement
3 Year Combo
This class is designed to introduce children age 3 to the exciting and creative world of dance. The curriculum consists of an introduction to basic ballet and tap terminology, placement, and skills. Coordination, social skills and positive behavior are all reinforced in a fun structured class environment.
Class length: 45 minutes once a week
Showcase Dance: Ballet Recital Dance: Tap
4 Year Combo
This class is designed to introduce children age 4 to the exciting and creative world of dance. The curriculum consists of a continuation of the 3yr old dance class which includes an introduction to basic ballet and tap terminology, placement, and skills. Coordination, social skills and positive behavior are all reinforced in a fun structured class environment.
Class length: 45 minutes once a week

Kindergarten & 1st Grade
“Motions”
This class is designed to introduce children in Kindergarten & 1st grade to the exciting and creative world of dance. The curriculum consists of a continuation of the 4yr old dance class which includes and introduction to basic ballet, hip hop and tap terminology, placement, and skills. Coordination, social skills, and positive behavior are all reinforced in a fun structured class environment.
Dancers may choose from 2 class options Ballet & Tap or Ballet & Hip Hop
Class length: 60 minutes once a week

2nd & 3rd Grade
“Momentum”
This class is designed to introduce children grades 2nd & 3rd to the exciting and creative world of dance. The curriculum consists of a continuation of the Motions dance class which includes and introduction to ballet, tap, and hip hop skills. Coordination, social skills, and positive behavior are all reinforced in a fun structured class environment.
Dancers may choose from 2 class options Ballet & Tap or Ballet & Hip Hop
Class Length: 60 minutes once a week

Performance Classes
our performance classes are designed for dancers who are eager to take the stage and gain valuable performance experience throughout the season. dancers enrolled in these classes will work on choreography, performance skills and most importantly technique. They will have multiple performance opportunities including our winter showcase, local high school shows and our Cds celebration
Ballet/Lyrical/Contemporary
Ballet classes are offered for all grades, as it is the foundation of ALL dance styles! Students are taught proper body alignment and placement, barre and center work, as well as across the floor combinations. Beginner classes will introduce basic ballet vocabulary, proper alignment, and classical ballet technique. Advanced classes will include adagio and allegro work, balance, and strength. All students are encouraged to take ballet, as it furthers success in all disciplines of dance!
Hip-Hop
Hip-hop is a high energy class that includes isolations, rhythm, free-styling, and funky foot work! This class is about personal style and expression and can be taught to anyone who has a passion to move!
Tap
This class emphasizes the flow of movement by teaching each dancer the importance of rhythm and beats not only in the music, but in their own bodies! Beginning classes will focus on fundamental tap movements, vocabulary, and basic rhythms that will progress into fun and upbeat combinations. More advanced classes will involve more intricate rhythms and combinations. Tap is a great way to develop musicality, timing, and balance!
Jazz
Jazz was one of the first forms of American dance and even today, is ever changing and evolving! This fun and energetic class includes elements such as kicks, leaps, turns, splits, and isolations. Each class will also consist of stretching and strengthening exercises, across the floor progressions, and a center floor combinations using hip and upbeat music From musical theater to jazz funk, each class is filled with a different style of American jazz!
Competition Classes
1st grade& UP
Dancers must audition to be a part of our competition teams. Competition dancers participate in four competitions throughout the season. These events require additional time commitments and incur extra expenses, including entry fees, travel, costumes and other related cost. Families should be prepared for these added responsibilities as part of being a member of our competition team.

Pre-Pointe & Pointe
Prerequisites; must be enrolled in a performance class
11 years old to enroll in pre-pointe, must be assessed for pointe.
Pre-Pointe
Pre-point classes are offered to ballet students who are not yet on pointe to further develop and strengthen the muscles necessary to go en pointe. Pre-pointe classes stress correct alignment and correct classical ballet technique. Pre-pointe classes also allow teachers to assess readiness, offering an atmosphere for proper evaluation of important skills.
Pointe
Pointe class is the part of classical ballet technique that concerns pointe work, in which a ballet dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet. Pointe work is performed while wearing pointe shoes. A dancer should never work in pointe shoes until their teacher has told them they are ready to do so, pre-pointe class is taken in ballet slippers until the dancer has developed the strength and muscles necessary to go en pointe.
